I love to draw Monsters and Demons?

I love to draw. Most of the time im always in a sketch book. But i love to draw such things like dragons,demons, hellish looking creatures. When people look at my sketch book i feel that there thinking “WOW this kid is really messed up, he might be a psychopath.” Sometimes i get chastised for it “How come you always draw scary and gothic stuff, why cant you draw normal stuff.” I can’t help it. I love to draw stuff like that, its fun. Now just because i like to draw monsters and demons, how is that any different from someone who likes to draw ponies or unicorns? Why the double standard?
Can anyone else relate?

Art isn’t about drawing what other people like, it’s about drawing what you like. Tell them that. And I think it’s cool you like to draw things that inspire you.
